Binod Ghosal is a popular young writer of West Bengal. A journalist by profession, Binod regularly writes short stories, novels, features and film criticisms in the leading magazines and journals of West Bengal as well as other states of India and abroad.Binod started writing after 2000 and within a very short time he made his space in modern Bengali literature, specially in the field of short stories. Many of his stories have been adopted into stage drama and or broadcast as radio plays. Binod is a recipient of Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2011 for his first collection of short stories “Danawala Manush’. He was also honoured with Paschimbanga Bangla Akademi Award in the year 2014.
