Manjul Bajaj grew up in Lucknow. She graduated in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University and did a Masters in Rural Management from IRMA at Anand and another in Environmental Science from the University of London. For much of her adult life she has worked in the field of rural development and the environment. She currently lives in Gurgaon with her husband and two sons.
Her debut novel Come, Before Evening Falls was shortlisted for The Hindu Best Fiction Prize 2010. She has also written Elbie’s Quest, the first book in a series for children.
Her second book, a collection of short stories titled Another Man's Wife and Other Stories,has been shortlisted for The Hindu Prize for Best Fiction 2013.
