Sami Ahmad Khan read Literature at the University of Delhi, before completing his master's degree in the same at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He went on to study his PhD there, obtaining a Fulbright fellowship at the University of Iowa. He has engaged in film production, teaching, theatre and writing. His short stories, plays and articles have been published in magazines and academic journals.
