A writer in two Indian Languages, Hindi and Maithili, Vibha Rani has more than 20 books in her name. She is a translator, journalist, radio artist, script writer for documentaries and TV serials, voice-over artist, folk singer, playwright and theatre personality. She is a strong believer of theatre and art for all. Apart from various socio-cultural organizations, such as Virat Kalodbhav and Pragatisheel Lekhak Sangh, she has associated herself with Avitoko, a multi-functional institution working in the field of art, theatre, literature, culture, education and training. She is a corporate trainer and uses theatre as a medium for it. She closely works with jail inmates and children of women jail inmates through art, theatre and literature. Her awards are the Katha Award, Mohan Rakesh Samman, Ghanshyamdas Saraf Sahitya Samman, Dr Maheshwari Singh ‘Mahesh’ Sarvottam Sahitya Samman and Sahityasevi Samman.
