Vikas Swarup is an Indian diplomat and author presently posted as India’s Consul General in Osaka-Kobe, Japan. He has served previously in Turkey, the US, Ethiopia, the UK and South Africa. He is the author of three novels, Q&A, which won South Africa's Boeke Prize and was filmed as the multiple-Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, Six Suspects, which has also been optioned for a film, and The Accidental Apprentice. His books have been translated in over forty languages.
